Ross Gellar (David Schwimmer)
Paleontologist Ross has had a hard time facing life since his wife Carol (Jane Sibbett) left him and announced that she is a lesbian. His life is further complicated by the fact that he is coparenting his son with his ex-wife and her lover. Intelligent, highly emotional and romantic, Ross has been unlucky in love--except for those times when he has been dating Rachel and the one time he married her. Still teaching at the university, Ross continues to navigate the halls of higher learning as he copes with the turmoil in the classroom and the faculty lounge.

Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry)
Newly married Chandler is a wry observer of everyone's life--especially his own. Historically romantically dysfunctional and professionally unmotivated, he survives in a boring office job due to his sense of humor. Perhaps Chandler's greatest achievement has been embarking on a joyful and mature relationship with Monica--and saying yes when she popped the very question he had had trouble asking.
Joey Tribiani (Matt Le Blanc)
Joey Tribiani lives with his best friend Chandler in an apatment opposite Rachel and Monica's. He is a struggling actor who just can't crack his way into the movies. Instead he finds other ways to make money such as working at a department store as one of Santa's elves, participating in fertility experiments, playing Al Pachino's butt in his new movie (he was fired on his first day apparently he "Acted too much")and starring in failing plays.
Joey's favourite things in life are sandwichs, ice-hockey, jam, the Knicks, and of course BAYWATCH! Joey is the womaniser of the group and is never without a date, but he hasn't had any serious relationships up to yet

Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston)
Rachel Karen Green moved into her New York city apartment after she left her fiance Barry at the altar and has been living with her best friend Monica ever since.
She grew up in a rich family with her Mother and Father but shortly after her move to New York her parents decided on a divorce.
Her on and off relationship with Ross is one of the most exciting plots on the TV series Friends and they have yet to get together permanetly.
Rachel started of working at the local coffee house "Central Perk" but as a waitress she kinda...sucked! So she started to pursue a career in fashion, with a little help from her friend Chandler she landed a job in her "House of Worship" Bloomingdales.
Monica Gellar/Bing (Courtney Cox Arquette)
Monica lives with her best friend Rachel in their lovely New York City apartment. Monica is a good cook and starts up a catering business with the help of her friends. She then moves on to become the head chef at a local Italian restaurant. Monica is the neurotic one of the group with her obsessive need for order and cleanliness.
Her parents sometimes seem to look over Monica and turn to her older brother Ross. Monica has a hard time proving herself especially to her Mum who thinks she has no chance of finding love or been successful. Monica enjoys being the hostess of all parties and the organiser of everything, she is also very competitive and can't stand to lose, and funnily enough hardly does.
Pheobe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow)
Phoebe Buffay lives on her own in New York City but is always visiting her best friends Monica and Rachel. Phoebes Mum committed suicide when she was young, then Phoebe moved out onto the streets after her step-dad was put in prison.
Phoebe likes massaging people but she loves playing the guitar and performs regularly at Central Perk. Her songs seem very strange and weird but they are very funny. Phoebe is a very kind person especially when she helps out her brother Frank and his wife Alice by carrying their child, they are very happy when they find out that Phoebe is carrying triplets!
